enter fall (more the school phenom, not so much the season)

here we go, wind it up again, another move in. oh yeah.

it's really quite a time. i always love move in, all the chaos, all the new blood, all the parent's wandering around with their kids playing it cool, or not, just depends. if you're a people watcher, and i am, well it's a feast. i'm sure there are a couple dozen good sociological experiments that could be done on college campuses during these days of move in pre-classes.

i was the snow cone guy today. good times, everyone, well all the sane folks like snow cones. it's ice. who doesn't like ice on a crazy hot day. so anyways, we were pretty popular and kept busy at a steady pace, rockin our charlie brownesque sno-cone machine. did i mention it was hot? i felt like my feet were going to spontaneously combust (they didn't which was good). probably the highlight of the day was when we were approached by 4 fellas, sophomores or juniors i reckon, who were super cool. i can't even describe or do justice to their outfits. suffice it to say they were all wearing wigs, and dressed up in superhero masks, and looking at them made you just a little bit weirded out. but they were cool. we talked for a bit and come to find out they were just doing a public service too, wandering around campus giving parents a taste of what they were throwing their kids into with this whole "college experience" thing. good for them.

we'll be back out there tomorrow. sno-cones. move in. fun for all. wouldn't miss it for the world.

welcome to ball state!
